About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented automated test scripts for front-end (UI) and back-end (API) components using JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, or Python.
Execute existing automated test suites, analyze results, and help expand test coverage across the application layers.
Identify, log, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover edge-case issues not easily caught by automation.
Learn to integrate and monitor automated tests within our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Participate proactively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, team discussions, and code reviews to understand requirements and testability.

Requirements

What you’ll need

0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or software development (open to talented recent graduates or bootcamp alumni).
Solid foundational coding skills in at least one relevant language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Python).
Basic understanding or academic/project experience with automated testing tools for UI (e.g., Cypress, Playwright) or APIs (e.g., Postman, Pytest).
Good understanding of software QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile practices.
Basic proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
Strong analytical thinking, keen attention to detail, a passion for learning, and excellent English communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical/bootcamp experience.
