About the role
- Manage daily site maintenance including plugin and theme updates, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and security monitoring
- Implement requests from internal teams and clients, ensuring smooth, secure, high-performing websites
- Support occasional WordPress site builds and enhancements
- Work side by side with the AI and Automation Manager to learn practical development skills
- Assist in designing workflows that connect websites, CRMs, and marketing platforms
- Build and deploy custom AI chatbots for client websites and internal tools under mentorship
- Gain hands-on experience with APIs, automation tools, and custom scripts to streamline operations
- Support projects that improve reporting, tracking, and marketing automation
- Collaborate with agency teams in a hybrid schedule (three days in office, two days remote)
Requirements
- 2–4 years of WordPress experience, including site maintenance, custom themes/plugins, site speed, and troubleshooting
- Experience with plugin and theme updates, performance optimization, and security monitoring
- Experience building or customizing WordPress themes and plugins
- Experience or experimentation with automation tools (Zapier, Make) or custom scripts, or eagerness to learn
- Curiosity about APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to find cleaner, faster workflows
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Must be local to Edina, Minnesota (accepting only local applications at this time)
- Willingness to train and grow into an AI and automation specialist role
