About the role

  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and availability of the data used in strategic decision-making.
  • Translate data into business insights, supporting leaders and teams in defining strategies.
  • Collaborate with key areas and business stakeholders to understand requests and convert product needs into actionable analyses.
  • Support the advancement of a data-driven culture within the Gaming team, contributing to evidence-based decision making.
  • Ensure the reliability of metrics and data structures by validating rules and integrations.
  • Present results clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Serve as a bridge between engineering, marketing, and executive teams, helping to connect technical performance with business impact.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain queries and structures in SQL, the foundation of analytical work.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling (star schema, snowflake), ensuring consistency and organization.
  • Build and update dashboards and visualizations (Redash, Metabase, Looker).
  • Support engineers in interpreting and reviewing Python code, and contribute with automations and analytical scripts.
  • Build and execute ETL processes on Databricks.
  • Use code versioning (GitHub/GitLab) for change control and integration.
  • Apply statistical concepts to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of initiatives.
  • Support operations in cloud environments (AWS).
  • Generate analyses and reports on behavior, engagement, and performance within the Counter-Strike 2 ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL.
  • Python programming.
  • Visualization tools: Redash, Metabase, Looker, or similar.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Code versioning (GitHub/GitLab).
  • Applied statistics knowledge.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).
  • Active CS2 player, understanding the player journey and ecosystem metrics.
  • Basic knowledge of A/B testing and Machine Learning (plus).
  • Knowledge of AWS services (plus).
  • Experience with SaaS businesses (subscriptions, pirate metrics/AARRR, churn and LTV, CRM) (plus).
