About the role
- Oversee daily operations of the development team for the Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) contract
- Facilitate daily operational status meetings and release readiness reviews to ensure timely and high-quality technical solution delivery
- Monitor batch processing and release dependencies and maintain dashboards and trackers to support transparency and accountability
- Develop demand forecasts with account teams for small to medium-sized projects
- Coordinate delivery timelines and dependencies, proactively manage risks, and prioritize initiatives with senior stakeholders
- Partner with system administrators, DBAs, and project managers to coordinate releases and resolve delivery bottlenecks
- Ensure SDLC deliverables (estimates, designs, unit tests, walkthrough documents) are completed on time and stored in appropriate repositories
- Serve as liaison between internal teams and external partners to foster alignment across business, technical, and operational stakeholders
- Drive process improvements and standardization across development teams to improve efficiency and reduce delivery bottlenecks
- Lead end-to-end delivery of work items, change orders, and defect resolutions across multiple MMIS teams, ensuring alignment with contractual KPIs and SLAs
- Partner with PMO and account leadership to support weekly/monthly contractual reporting and financial outlook activities
- Apply and communicate policies, procedures, and practices and manage employee rewards within allocated budgets and company guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, information systems or related field preferred
- Nine or more years of support services, project, or program experience
- Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Proven experience leading end-to-end delivery of MMIS projects, including coordination of timelines, cross-functional dependencies, and defect resolution
- Deep expertise in the SDLC—particularly requirements through development
- Strong understanding of SDLC deliverables and repository tools such as GitLab and Jira
- Experience coordinating releases, monitoring batch processing, and managing release dependencies
- Experience partnering with System Administration, Architecture, DBA, Release Management, and Project Management
