About the role
- Review Medicaid drug rebate payments and identify disputes
- Identify, research, and resolve rebate disputes with accuracy and fairness
- Negotiate resolutions with drug manufacturers and secure outstanding balances
- Verify pharmacy and medical claims data with providers to support dispute resolution
- Research disputed pharmaceutical utilization and prepare resolution proposals
- Track dispute resolution activities and maintain required productivity reports
- Support compliance with Medicaid guidelines, HIPAA, and Gainwell standards
- Contribute to the financial integrity of state Medicaid programs through detailed analysis
- Daily management of invoices, workflow queues, and dispute resolution priorities
- Regular interaction with healthcare providers, manufacturers, and internal teams
Requirements
- Experience with Medicaid drug rebates, pharmacy claims processing, or medical billing (highly preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, PDF editing tools, and familiarity with systems such as PRIMS, SSRS Reports, or Process Manager
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, compliance, and collaborative working relationships
