About the role
- Bat Around™ is seeking an experienced 3D Artist to create stylized 3D assets for our mobile app.
- This is a short-term contract opportunity with a clear deliverable goal: completing all required 3D models and visual effects by the end of February.
- You’ll play a key role in shaping the look and feel of the game’s environment while ensuring assets are optimized for mobile performance.
- Responsibilities
- Design and create stylized 3D models for in-game assets such as stadiums, baseballs, and other props.
- Define and execute the visual style for 3D elements within the app.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure assets are optimized for performance in a mobile environment.
- (Optional, based on skillset) Develop particle effects and additional visual flourishes to enhance gameplay.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a 3D Artist, ideally in the mobile or casual gaming industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing stylized 3D modeling and texturing.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Blender, Maya, or 3DS Max.
- Knowledge of 3D asset optimization techniques for mobile platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with engineers.
- Bonus: Experience with 3.js, WebGL, or similar frameworks.
