About the role

  • Involved throughout the full test life cycle (test case planning and definition, test execution, defect capture and reporting)
  • Enforce and uphold the quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Hold yourself and colleagues accountable for the standard of work that is released, ensuring it meets both aesthetic and functional requirements
  • Thorough documentation of test plans and test cases and the maintenance of these
  • Report and prioritise bugs and issues raised in a variety of channels
  • Proactively and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with Junior and Senior QAs to contribute towards implementing broader automation coverage across current and future projects
  • Assist with the personal development of more junior members of the QA team

Requirements

  • Good understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Some previous experience with, or knowledge of Javascript, or another programming language
  • Knowledge of APIs, testing of them and related tools
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and eye for detail
  • Able to effectively communicate, written and verbally, to all levels within the business
  • Experience with version control and workflows and relevant tools
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Able to demonstrate great attention to detail, care and accuracy while maintaining the speed of work to meet deadlines
  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira
  • Exceptional understanding of UX qualities
  • Experience using software debugging tools (e.g. web inspector)
  • Desirable: 3+ years of relevant professional experience of working in a wider team with multiple concurrent projects
  • Desirable: Relevant work experience with OTT apps (Connected Devices/Smart TV)
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks
  • Desirable: ISTQB qualifications
  • Desirable: Experience implementing or integrating unit testing
  • Desirable: Experience testing on Playstation and/or Xbox platforms
  • Desirable: Experience testing HTML video players
  • Desirable: Relevant work experience testing iOS and Android mobile apps
  • Desirable: Experience using Charles proxy
