About the role
- Handle first party property cases from intake through trial or settlement.
- Develop case strategies and manage case progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
- Conduct initial consultations and ongoing client meetings.
- Conduct thorough legal research.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and depositions.
- Advocate passionately on behalf of clients in front of judges and juries.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
- Prepare and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
- Work closely with paralegals and other support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to firm strategy.
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice law in Mississippi.
- Experience in plaintiff litigation.
- Young attorneys with a demonstrated interest in a fast-paced organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
