About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver temporary promotional packaging materials and pre-packed retail merchandise vehicles that withstand supply chain handling and meet customer and stakeholder expectations
- Develop and maintain relationships with co-workers, vendors, and factories while leading structural design on multidisciplinary teams
- Develop innovative, structurally sound, cost-effective pre-packed merchandise vehicles that communicate product features, increase trial and sales, and build brand awareness
- Manage formal ship testing for product, packaging material, structural integrity, and assembly compatibility with the retail supply chain
- Propose continuous improvements to existing POP vehicles through material/labor reductions and structural improvements
- Support MDO Merchandising Specialists throughout display development from concept through manufacturing, co-packing, and deployment
- Handle ideation, project development, specification generation, vendor management, ship testing, and travel to co-packers for start-ups
- Collaborate with Brand, Sales, Project Managers, external Structural Designers, Graphic Designers, Internal Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Vendor Partners
- Work hands-on, multitask, shift priorities, communicate clearly, and travel when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3 years of structural corrugated experience, including corrugated material and secondary packaging
- Comfortable with MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel
- Savvy with web-based tools
- Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to shift gears easily
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Willing and available to travel, sometimes on short notice
- Schedule availability Monday–Friday
- Ability to travel up to 20%
