About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the Company's fixed asset accounting process, including additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and depreciation.
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure timely reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Review capital expenditure requests to ensure proper capitalization in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP.
- Coordinate with Operations, Facilities, IT, and other departments to ensure complete and accurate capitalization of projects.
- Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and ensure timely capitalization upon project completion.
- Support annual financial statement audits and SOX compliance activities by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with fixed asset accounting, including capitalization policies, depreciation, and fixed asset reconciliations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting systems
