About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect and analyze data to formulate opinions of market value for real estate assets
  • Research and analyze operating performance, market conditions, and valuation of real estate investment properties, development projects, and corporate entities
  • Use company research subscriptions including CoStar and CompStak
  • Review source documents such as historical financial statements, rent rolls, operating budgets, and tax bills to develop cash flow assumptions and projections
  • Apply business, economics, finance, and accounting skills to real estate valuation, financial modeling, financial statement analysis, due diligence, and related client situations
  • Synthesize and analyze large amounts of data associated with complex real estate properties and portfolios
  • Prepare complex cash flow projections using MS Excel and Argus
  • Prepare analyses, summaries, and reports for clients and FTI management
  • Prepare expert reports, rebuttal reports, USPAP-compliant appraisal reports, and appraisal review reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting and/or Economics
  • State Certified General Real Estate Appraisal license
  • MAI designation or desire to pursue this designation
  • Experience in Argus Enterprise and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI offices as needed
  • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas
