About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with the team to deliver excellent client service
  • Assist private equity and corporate clients with tax due diligence, tax structuring, and tax modeling on buy-side and sell-side transactions
  • Prepare tax due diligence reports for C-suite audience
  • Direct complex tax research and formulate tax planning strategies
  • Apply and interpret U.S. federal income tax law as it relates to tax due diligence and advisory
  • Review and comment on purchase agreement and disclosure schedules
  • Assist in advising clients by identifying post-closing opportunities and services
  • Provide direction to maintain communication with clients and staff members on engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
  • 7+ years of post-graduate combined professional experience
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)
  • MS, JD and/or CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of U.S. federal income tax experience
  • Mergers and acquisitions tax experience
  • Experience with tax research and the ability to analyze and apply rules in a broad range of tax areas and issues
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and full MS Office suite
