About the role

  • Develop and evolve marketing strategies to enhance the impact of Frontiers’ publications and initiatives.
  • Design and execute multi-channel campaigns across social media, academic networks, and events.
  • Use BI tools and market research to deliver actionable insights on trends, competitors, and audience behavior.
  • Monitor citation performance and collaborate with journal teams to promote high-impact content.
  • Lead and mentor Marketing Specialists, fostering team development and performance.
  • Build partnerships with academic institutions, influencers, and media to expand brand reach.
  • Align marketing initiatives with organizational goals through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Report on key KPIs (e.g., article impact, citation trends, engagement) and optimize activities accordingly.
  • Represent Frontiers at conferences, webinars, and industry events to promote published research.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in marketing, including 3+ years in a managerial role—ideally in academic publishing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of publishing workflows and citation drivers.
  • Advanced proficiency in BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, Web of Science).
  • Experience translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with citation metrics and digital marketing analytics.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to detail and results orientation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in campaigns that increased content visibility and academic impact.
