About the role Develop and evolve marketing strategies to enhance the impact of Frontiers’ publications and initiatives. Design and execute multi-channel campaigns across social media, academic networks, and events. Use BI tools and market research to deliver actionable insights on trends, competitors, and audience behavior. Monitor citation performance and collaborate with journal teams to promote high-impact content. Lead and mentor Marketing Specialists, fostering team development and performance. Build partnerships with academic institutions, influencers, and media to expand brand reach. Align marketing initiatives with organizational goals through cross-functional collaboration. Report on key KPIs (e.g., article impact, citation trends, engagement) and optimize activities accordingly. Represent Frontiers at conferences, webinars, and industry events to promote published research. Requirements 6+ years in marketing, including 3+ years in a managerial role—ideally in academic publishing or a related field. Strong understanding of publishing workflows and citation drivers. Advanced proficiency in BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, Web of Science). Experience translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. Familiarity with citation metrics and digital marketing analytics. Proven leadership and team development capabilities. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strategic mindset with attention to detail and results orientation. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Science, or related field.
