About the role

  • As a Senior IT Consultant, you will strengthen our team and work closely with our clients — primarily in the banking and insurance sectors.
  • You will support challenging IT and transformation projects with high functional and technical complexity and act as a central interface between business units, organizational units and IT.
  • You understand business processes, think in IT-oriented solution terms and keep an overview even during critical project phases.
  • You act as a sparring partner for our clients and actively contribute to project success.
  • Your responsibilities include:
  • Supporting complex IT and software projects with multiple subprojects
  • Analyzing, designing and optimizing IT processes and organizational structures
  • Taking responsibility for cut-over planning and execution during Go-Lives and migrations
  • Preparing detailed requirements analyses, functional specifications and implementation guidelines
  • Designing and evaluating technical and functional solution scenarios
  • Planning, coordinating and managing the execution of testing activities
  • Managing and coordinating internal and external development teams as well as service providers
  • Tracking and reporting project status (schedule, quality, risks, budget, resources)
  • Working closely with project management, stakeholders and related projects
  • Supporting the project throughout the entire software development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Several years of experience (at least 5 years) working on projects in an IT environment
  • Strong knowledge of IT processes and organizational structures
  • Practical experience in cut-over management and production-critical project phases
  • Broad knowledge of the SAP landscape (modules and structures, processes and project methodologies)
  • Solid testing experience (planning, coordination, execution)
  • Project experience in the banking or insurance sector desirable
  • Project management experience (waterfall and/or agile)
  • A formal vocational qualification or a degree in Business Informatics or Computer Science is welcome — practical experience is the decisive factor
  • Communicative, level-headed personality with analytical thinking skills
  • High commitment and sense of responsibility — especially during intensive project phases when it matters
  • Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
