About the role
- Take strategic responsibility for the financial core areas: group controlling, group accounting, financial reporting and day-to-day accounting
- Develop and implement standards and policies for finance processes across the group
- Work closely with the CFO to design and implement a forward-looking finance strategy
- Ensure accurate budget planning, forecasts and analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Monitor the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of finance processes
- Identify and implement improvement measures to increase transparency and profitability of the finance departments
- Oversee and coordinate the consolidated financial statements and individual financial statements in accordance with national and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits to ensure the compliance and integrity of financial reporting
- Responsible for the proper execution of day-to-day accounting processes
- Optimize accounting processes and ensure correct and timely processing of transactions
- Implement accounting best practices to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses for the CFO and other executives
Requirements
- University degree in business administration, finance, controlling or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in a leadership role within finance, ideally gained in the healthcare sector such as hospitals, or in the holding company of a hospital operator or healthcare business
- Solid knowledge of controlling, financial reporting (HGB and IFRS) and accounting
- Strong strategic and analytical skills and a high degree of problem-solving ability
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a strong results orientation
