About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install and administer all operating systems under the responsibility of the CALID.
  • Administer all security devices (firewalls, VPNs, etc.).
  • Install and administer the virtualized platforms supporting the information systems (IS).
  • Design new technical architectures and integrate new information systems.
  • Administer and monitor the networks supporting the information systems.
  • Manage and provide support for the IT equipment estate.
  • Manage hardware stock/inventory (in collaboration with the asset manager).
  • Manage the Centre’s physical assets using the appropriate management tool (GLPI).
  • Ensure knowledge capitalization of completed work (preparation of operational runbooks).
  • Write and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hold a Bac+2 or Bac+3 diploma in IT (equivalent to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree).
  • Knowledge of the military environment and the maritime domain is a plus.
  • Master the core competencies of an Information Systems Operations Technician.
  • Network and system administration.
  • Network and system monitoring.
  • Information systems security.
  • Ability to take on temporary auxiliary duties in the following areas: stock/inventory management, logistics, IT support management, and user support for ICT.
  • Ability to swim.
  • Be physically and medically fit.
  • Have completed the French Defence and Citizenship Day (Journée Défense et Citoyenneté, formerly JAPD).
