About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic financial leadership and commercial insight to the Executive Team and Board.
Lead treasury management, including liquidity, cashflow forecasting, funding arrangements, and lender/investor relationships.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accurate statutory & regulatory reporting.
Ensure strong regulatory compliance and governance (RSH, FRS 102, etc.).
Manage and develop the finance, procurement, and treasury team.
Drive value for money initiatives and support strategic decision-making.
Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including auditors, funders, and pension providers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Housing association / social housing sector experience (essential).
Previous experience operating at Head of Finance / equivalent senior level.
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
Strong background in treasury management, financial strategy, and regulated environments.
Proven ability to lead and develop a multi-functional finance team.
Immediate or very short notice availability.
Experience of organisational change programmes.
Treasury-specific qualifications or deep funding/lending expertise.
