About the role

  • Overall project management for neuromorphic computing & edge AI: You will lead research and industrial projects in the field of neuromorphic computing and edge AI—from project kickoff to successful completion.
  • You will structure, manage and monitor project progress transparently to reliably achieve schedule, cost and performance targets.
  • You are responsible for continuous communication with customers, project partners, the cross-site project team and internal specialist departments.
  • Strategic portfolio and acquisition management: You will support group and department management with portfolio and program management and assist technical project managers with controlling and reporting.
  • You will also coordinate proposals for internally and publicly funded research projects as well as bids for industry, contributing to the strategic development of the research area.
  • Establishment and development of the Heilbronn site: You will actively contribute to establishing our new Heilbronn site and help shape its development.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in a STEM subject.
  • Practical experience with classical and agile project management methods.
  • Ideally, IPMA Level D certificate or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, as well as excellent communication and assertiveness skills.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new technical and scientific contexts.
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills for collaboration in an international team.
  • Willingness to travel, particularly for project meetings in Germany and other European countries, as well as to our site in Erlangen.
  • Ideally, knowledge in machine learning, hardware and/or software development.
