About the role

  • You are responsible for the procurement of goods as well as works and services in compliance with public procurement law.
  • You advise our employees on all matters related to purchasing and procurement and act as a competent point of contact.
  • You manage and accompany procurement procedures from requirements analysis to final commissioning in SAP.
  • You communicate and negotiate with bidders, including in an international environment, in German and, if necessary, English.
  • You provide the documentation required for procedures on e-procurement platforms and review and evaluate submitted bids in close cooperation with the scientific departments.
  • Together with the institute’s legal contacts, you ensure a legally compliant procurement process for the institute.

Requirements

  • Completed technical or commercial vocational training with subject-related further training, or alternatively a completed degree with a technical or technical-business background
  • Ideally, professional experience in technical purchasing and/or in a research and development environment, as well as knowledge of public procurement law
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Initiative, strong communication skills, and a confident manner
