About the role

  • You develop the digital interfaces used to manage our research and industry projects.
  • You design and prototype web-based dashboards, reports, and interfaces that allow project teams to analyze effort, time, and project data.
  • You speak with end users (project managers, engineers, scientists), understand their workflows, and translate them into clear, intuitive interfaces.
  • You create UX concepts for web-based reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • You build prototypes using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or comparable tools.
  • You implement prototypes as interactive web applications.
  • You visualize project and effort data from databases in a clear and appealing way.
  • You iteratively improve solutions based on user feedback and usability tests.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a STEM, design, or media program (or a related field) and are interested in UX, interface design, and web technologies.
  • You have experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or frameworks, or you are eager to apply them to create compelling user experiences.
  • You have a good sense for layout, structure, and visual clarity.
  • Ideally, you have worked with prototyping or design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, or similar — we provide the full Adobe suite.
  • Experience with data visualization, dashboards, machine learning, or image processing is an advantage.
  • For collaboration in our international team, you have very good German and good English skills.
