About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help with software implementation and evaluation tasks
- Implement features in multiple software components such as robot localization, drivers and infrastructure
- Test and evaluate new ideas and promising approaches from research publications and open source releases
- Test and deploy the software on real robots in test environments
- Help with integration of a new remote control system into the track-drive robot CURttrac
- Investigate the use of Visual Odometry in the localization solution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid enrollment at a German university or Hochschule
- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Autonomous Systems or similar
- Some experience with C++ and Linux
- Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: ROS 2, computer vision, pointcloud-processing, machine learning, docker, git, GitLab CI, Grafana, CAN/CANOpen, Python, Rust
- Enthusiasm for mobile robotics
- Fluent in English or German
