About the role
- Controlling and governance of budgets, schedules and quality requirements at an overarching project level – multi-project controlling for the Research Construction department
- Identification and analysis of cost and schedule variances and development of countermeasures together with project teams
- Preparation of regular reports, evaluations and ad-hoc analyses for department management, director, executive board and funding agencies
- Participation in defining and updating cost frameworks, budgets and fund disbursement plans
- Monitoring of year-to-date cost development including planned-vs-actual comparisons for the department budget
- Ensuring implementation of quality specifications in research construction and preparing risk and reporting concepts
- Optimization of processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness and standardization within the construction department
- Promoting a strong quality awareness and smooth workflows within the department
Requirements
- Completed university degree (Master or Bachelor/University of Applied Sciences) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with a focus on Construction/Real Estate, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in controlling, project management and/or quality management – ideally in the construction sector
- Confident user of SAP, MS Office (especially Excel) and preferably MS Project
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly and decisively and to actively engage with internal and external project stakeholders
- Analytical, structured and independent working style, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and a collaborative team-player attitude
