About the role

  • Operation, administration, and optimization of the existing network infrastructure into a modern next‑generation architecture.
  • Configuration of switches and firewalls using Cisco ISE and Palo Alto Panorama.
  • Establishment of a monitoring environment for effective fault analysis and troubleshooting support.
  • Development of the network architecture with regard to new protocol and application types.
  • Planning of new infrastructure components and creation and review of network and security concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, IT Security, or equivalent).
  • Practical experience in network administration with knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Ability to work independently, responsible, and strong communication skills.
  • Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of network security, system hardening, and security concepts (e.g., handling alerts from XDR/IDS solutions).
  • Initial experience with regulatory requirements (e.g., BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with automation (e.g., Python or Ansible).
