About the role

  • Installation and management of various software environments for our application systems in laboratories and offices
  • Analysis of fault reports and service requests from our employees in the User Helpdesk using a modern ticketing and service management system
  • Support in technical consulting, support and training of users to improve understanding of software and devices
  • Provision of components such as hardware, software, storage and network components — also at the virtual level
  • Ensuring up-to-date patch levels on end-user devices through automated software distribution
  • Careful monitoring of network components and servers
  • Implementation of your own small projects with support from experienced colleagues

Requirements

  • You have a secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss) or a general (technical) higher education entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife/Abitur)
  • You are interested in information technology and bring initial basic knowledge
  • Analytical thinking and a fundamental technical understanding characterize you
  • You enjoy working in a team, communicate openly and like working with people
  • You have a quick grasp, a high ability to concentrate and a willingness to learn — you work in a structured and independent manner
  • You have very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken
