About the role
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in national and international contexts
- Providing legal support for internal governance structures
- Legal support for appointment procedures
- Advising on legal questions in the research context
- Conducting research in IT law, particularly in data protection and the legal aspects of cybersecurity research
- Writing scholarly articles in German and English, with a strong focus on German and US law
Requirements
- Degree in law from a German university
- Knowledge of contract law, preferably in the academic/research sector
- Ideally in-depth knowledge of US law, e.g., demonstrated by an LL.M., or by an extended research or work stay in the USA
- Independent and structured working style
- Negotiation skills and strong communication abilities
- Completed doctorate (PhD) in a relevant area of law relating to German or US law
- Excellent German (C2) and very good English (C1)
