About the role

  • Acquisition and goal- and team-oriented leadership of development projects in close cooperation with national and international project partners from industry and the (publicly funded) research community
  • Further development, planning and execution of manufacturing processes in the field of magnet materials, taking into account existing quality and safety requirements
  • Development of new, innovative processes on state-of-the-art process equipment, embedded in the process chain and the institute's strategic direction
  • Application of modern analytical methods and evaluation of measurement results
  • Communication with potential customers (all genders) at international trade fairs and presentations at technical conferences
  • Supervision of students and doctoral candidates (all genders), e.g., interns, student research assistants (HiWi) and thesis projects

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in engineering or natural sciences
  • Several years of experience in the field of magnet materials
  • Knowledge of instrumental analytics, e.g., magnetic measurement techniques, laser diffraction, XRD, DSC, SEM, MOKE/Kerr desirable
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, domain-specific applications)
  • Openness to varied laboratory and project activities
  • Independent, structured and responsible working style
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
