About the role
- Develop new laser surgery methods and systems in an interdisciplinary team
- Investigate the interaction of focused laser radiation with biological tissue and its laser technological implementation for cutting hard tissue and removing tumors
- Work closely with clinical and industrial partners from medical technology, laser technology, and information technology
- Implement developed processes with engineers and technicians
- Conduct field trials in a clinical environment to test developed methods and devices under realistic conditions
Requirements
- Excellent master's degree in medical physics, physics, or related fields
- In-depth knowledge of optics and laser technology
- Anatomical knowledge and programming experience in Simulink, MATLAB, or Python are ideal
- Project responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration with various departments
- Responsible and independent work approach
- Willingness to familiarize with new topics
- Commitment and open team-oriented communication
- Good English language skills
