About the role

  • Designing, conducting and facilitating complex decision-making, strategy and innovation workshops with executives and business units to identify and implement GenAI initiatives.
  • Systematically identifying, evaluating and prioritizing AI use potentials across business processes with a focus on measurable business impact, scalability and sustainability.
  • Translating business requirements into actionable AI solution designs, technical target architectures, prioritized use cases and concrete implementation roadmaps.
  • Managing and coordinating internal and, where applicable, cross-departmental projects.
  • Designing and developing AI prototypes to quickly test use cases, clarify requirements and provide sound decision bases for scaling and investment.
  • Managing and executing AI initiatives across the full lifecycle — from initial idea through proof of concept, MVP and pilot to production rollout.
  • Actively building and continuously developing the innovation management function within the Directorate "AI & Innovation", including defining and implementing processes, standards and governance structures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (with above-average academic performance) in (business) informatics, (industrial) engineering, economics or a comparable field.
  • Several years of relevant experience in consulting, innovation environments or technology-driven project work within complex organizations, with the ability to advise internal stakeholders at eye level, independently structure AI initiatives and drive them forward in an impact-oriented way.
  • Solid technical understanding of modern AI technologies, especially Generative AI, LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), complemented by practical hands-on experience in developing prototypes (e.g. Python, APIs, toolchains).
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills to structure complex AI topics, engage different target groups and actively steer decision-making processes.
  • Excellent German language skills, spoken and written, at a business-fluent/negotiation level to work confidently in internal consulting, workshops and management bodies.
