About the role

  • Installation, administration and hardening of Linux systems, in particular Ubuntu Server and RHEL
  • Development and design of automation strategies and definition of standards
  • Design and planning of the integration architecture and implementation of security and operational aspects
  • Ensuring stable, modern containers for software developers, including maintenance and further development
  • Coordination of the container landscape as an overall system

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a comparable field
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in the administration and, ideally, design and optimisation of Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, RHEL)
  • Configuration and management of storage networks, with knowledge of zoning and optimisation of fabric topologies
  • Demonstrable skills in implementing and maintaining highly available storage environments using protocols such as SMB, CIFS and NFS
  • Solid knowledge in configuring and managing NIS and in the use of automounter technologies
  • Development of service-oriented solutions for complex IT environments
  • Fluent German as well as basic to advanced English skills
