About the role

  • You will, according to defined guidelines, take responsibility for the installation, administration and securing of our Linux systems — with a particular focus on Ubuntu Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux — and ensure stable, secure operation.
  • You will implement and maintain scripts based on predefined concepts to efficiently automate tasks in the server environment.
  • You will reliably integrate Linux systems into our Windows Active Directory environment, ensuring smooth cooperation across heterogeneous infrastructures.
  • You will ensure the provisioning and maintenance of containers for our software developers.
  • You will support the evaluation of container solutions in coordination with monitoring, microservices and the middleware layer.

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed vocational training in IT (Fachinformatik) or hold a comparable qualification.
  • You have solid, practical experience with Linux operating systems and storage technologies.
  • You are proficient in Fibre Channel, iSCSI, zoning and fabrics.
  • You bring experience with enterprise HA storage as well as the SMB, CIFS and NFS protocols.
  • A plus, not mandatory: experience with storage integrations in mixed environments.
  • You are strong in communication, service-oriented, a team player and enjoy your work.
  • Very good German and good English skills complete your profile.
