About the role

  • Implement and improve methods for automated data processing and visualization
  • Create and maintain high-performance databases for measurement data
  • Integrate databases with internal data processing software
  • Implement new features for data visualization, processing, and automation
  • Design and develop web applications for the analysis and presentation of measurement and process data
  • Model physical relationships in efficient and maintainable program code
  • Document work in a clear, structured, and reproducible manner
  • Close coordination with process engineers and the team to align requirements

Requirements

  • Academic background: currently enrolled in a degree program in applied computer science, physics, or a comparable field
  • Experience in object-oriented programming, particularly in Python
  • Familiarity with common Python libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib
  • Knowledge of working with SQL and JSON
  • Quick aptitude for reading and understanding existing code
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience in web development; knowledge of React and Django is a plus
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and client-server architectures
  • Good written and spoken English and basic knowledge of German
  • Reliable, independent, and structured working style
