About the role

  • You develop and research methodological approaches for safe automation in medical-technical and physiological contexts and implement them on the target systems
  • You devise control and automation strategies for various systems and adapt them to specific medical questions, taking relevant requirements and regulations into account
  • You develop approaches for different systems and questions for the safe automation of robot-assisted therapy systems and for knowledge transfer
  • You work closely with external partners to assess the feasibility of proposed initiatives, define research needs, and advance their practical implementation

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in Technical Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Medical Engineering or a comparable field
  • Good knowledge of actuators, sensors, mechatronics as well as control engineering and systems theory
  • Enthusiasm for designing and developing complex systems
  • Proficiency with common programming languages and simulation environments such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, C#
  • Ideally, you have initial experience in (medical) robotics and in hardware and software development
