About the role
- You will support our "Silicon Solar Cells" group, which works with silicon wafers.
- The majority of solar cells produced worldwide are made from silicon wafers.
- Our department has been researching industrially relevant solar cell structures and ways to reduce specific process costs for many years, either by increasing solar cell efficiency or by integrating new manufacturing methods.
- In our large PV-TEC laboratory, a wide range of automated production systems are available, including diffusion furnaces, wet-chemical systems, plasma chambers and laser systems.
- Together with our extensive characterization methods, this allows us to precisely align each individual process step in solar cell production.
- The training content follows the applicable regulations for the corresponding vocational profile.
- You will support the working group and complete a bachelor’s thesis.
Requirements
- You hold the Abitur or an equivalent qualification.
- You are interested in technical processes and scientific principles.
- You enjoy experimental work.
- You have good grades in mathematics, German and English.
- You are motivated to contribute to your team and to achieve shared goals through interdisciplinary collaboration.
- You plan and carry out tasks independently and to a high standard, and you have appropriate time-management skills.
- You communicate your ideas clearly and listen attentively to others.
