About the role

  • Development of new ML methods, particularly in the area of multimodal machine learning
  • Creation of large datasets for AI development
  • Development of foundation models, especially large language models
  • Optimization of training processes within AI development
  • Writing scientific publications and supervising students
  • Collaboration on exciting projects with external partners and clients
  • Presenting results at conferences, project meetings, and other events

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and extensive experience with common AI frameworks and libraries
  • Proven competencies (e.g., through projects or publications) in at least one of the following areas: multimodal machine learning, foundation models, large language models, reasoning models
  • Enthusiasm for developing and maintaining codebases, as well as for identifying new datasets
  • Experience and confidence using Python, Linux (Ubuntu), and Git via the terminal
  • Autonomy, independence, and self-initiative
  • Team player with an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
