About the role

  • Technical responsibility for refrigeration, air conditioning (HVAC) and ventilation systems in shipbuilding
  • Develop technical concepts and prepare specifications for approval and procurement processes
  • Sizing and calculations of systems
  • Define, coordinate and manage interfaces with suppliers
  • Evaluate bids and prepare decision proposals regarding technical risk and cost assessments
  • Review and assess suppliers' design documentation
  • Create and/or review schematic piping diagrams based on construction specifications and classification society rules
  • Create and/or review 3D models in the area of refrigeration, HVAC and ventilation
  • Technical coordination with customers and system suppliers
  • Collaborate with other design departments and production

Requirements

  • Completed degree in engineering or a related scientific field, or technician qualification (m/f/d)
  • Professional experience in the field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
  • Confident knowledge of regulations and guidelines, preferably classification society rules and SOLAS
  • Proficient user of the CAD software AutoCAD and good MS Office skills
  • Good written and spoken English skills in the technical domain
  • Confident manner, ability to work independently, assertiveness, and strong communication and teamwork skills
