About the role
- educate all project team leaders, field leaders, and front-line field workers on FZ’s best-in-class safety culture and standards
- ensure standards are adhered to by all
- build, maintain and improve safety programs, policies, processes and practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Construction or Industrial related Safety
- knowledge of and exposure to electrical related hazards
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or relevant degree strongly preferred
- Journeyman or Master Electrician licensing a plus
- OSHA 10 required
- OSHA 30 strongly preferred
- OSHA 500 a big plus!
- Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST) a plus
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- strong leadership and coaching abilities
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- strong relationship building and influencing skills
- excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- ability to provide 24 X 7 on-call support for safety emergencies or incidents
- travel required - regularly to regional job sites in provided company truck and by plane to out of state meetings at the Michigan headquarters
