About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Connect, troubleshoot, and repair feeds during a camera aggregation (M.I.C.R.) event
- Troubleshoot audio consoles, production support equipment, cameras, video, and intercom systems
- Quality control of incoming audio and video feeds during the event
- Maintain equipment for live productions, studio, and other operations around the company
- Delegate duties to remote crew during pre-show set up, live broadcast, and striking of events at remote locations – mainly at B1G school facilities
- Managing the inbound/outbound of deliveries, craft services, and payroll sheets for BTN freelance hires
- Drive M.I.C.R. truck to and from events
- Execute and complete projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of technical degree or equivalent work experience in a television production environment
- Good communication skills
- Excellent reasoning skills to assist in troubleshooting problems
- Able to troubleshoot audio console, production support equipment, cameras, and intercom systems
- Proficient in the use of broadcast-related test equipment, including waveform monitors, vector scopes, multi-meters, test signal generators, etc.
- Competence in MS Office software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, etc.)
- Strong understanding of how computer networks operate
- Familiar with concepts such as VLANs and VPNs
- Ability to distinguish between layer 2 networking (switching within a local network) and layer 3 networking (routing traffic across different networks)
- Foundational knowledge of basic network configurations and the ability to support troubleshooting
- Available to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the production schedule
- Valid CDL Class B driver’s license or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL), pass a DOT Physical, and obtain a medical certificate to drive M.I.C.R. truck to and from events
