About the role

  • Responsible for translating complex business initiatives into specific technical requirements/tasks for the engineering team
  • Conducts code review and provides approval for production deployment
  • Manages a variety of projects that includes providing analysis and presenting project plan, scope, and risks
  • Guides team members in the execution of project activities
  • Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Establishes recurring working group and status meetings to track milestones, risks and tasks
  • Owns and leads the product training(s), maintenance, and optimization process
  • Ensures timely communications and educates internal and external stakeholders on tech requirements, development progress and project timelines
  • Manages the display ad tech stack on Web properties and platform definition, execution, evolution and new features
  • Leads the display ad tech stack integrations (DSP, DMP, SSP, ad servers, site analytics, Prebid, APS, GPT) across various Web properties
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for project issues and/or troubleshooting in regards to display ad tech platform integrations on Web properties
  • Responsible for troubleshooting on ad tech implementation
  • Establishes best practices, priorities, processes and procedures for Ad Ops and Programmatic Teams
  • Supports contract negotiation with display ad tech vendors for Web properties and trains internal teams on new display ad tech capabilities on Web properties
  • Creates and maintains reports for executives and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Digital product management experience that includes designing, developing, and delivering digital products
  • Experience managing a display ad technology ecosystem on Web properties
  • Must have experience working with GAM (i.e. GPT) and Prebid.js
  • Exhibits advanced knowledge in ad serving technology, and programmatic landscape
  • Prior experience in a role on a cross-functional team with successful product ownership demonstrating strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven and rapidly changing environment
  • Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization
  • Effective self-starter with the proven ability to manage and deliver business projects effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits passion for digital products, it’s inner workings and how people use them
  • Exhibits passion for new media distribution, digital monetization, and keeping up to date with emerging platforms and the latest technology trends
  • Strong understanding of HTTP request/response cycles, including headers, status codes, and caching mechanisms
  • Hands-on experience with Charles Proxy or similar tools to intercept, analyze, and debug network traffic for ad delivery troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with GitHub or similar version control platforms for managing codebases, reviewing pull requests, and collaborating with engineering teams
  • Ability to interpret and debug RESTful APIs, including crafting and testing API requests using tools like Postman or cURL
  • Knowledge of OpenRTB (Open Real-Time Bidding) specifications, including key objects, attributes, and integration best practices for DSPs, SSPs, and ad exchanges
  • Proficiency in reading and troubleshooting JSON payloads associated with programmatic ad transactions
  • Proficiency in using Chrome DevTools to debug network activity, inspect ad requests, and resolve rendering or latency issues
  • Experience in Web development (JavaScript)
  • Ability to implement and debug beacons (client and server-side) for ad campaign analytics
  • Knowledge of ad decisioning, floor price optimization, and other advanced concepts in programmatic auctions.
