About the role
- Write editorial content such as press releases, blog posts, whitepapers, reports, and newsletters for our own and external high-reach media and channels — writing is your passion
- Strategic topic development: keep an eye on audience-relevant trends and topics, cluster them, and turn them into compelling pitches
- Manage press meetings and exclusive events with Anna, Director Brand & Content, and our CEO Dominik, preparing and following them up with well-structured communications materials
- Expand our media network and place relevant stories and commentary
- Work closely with PR agencies, freelancers, and colleagues to execute strong cross-media communications campaigns and initiatives, while continuously monitoring our media activities and the budget
- If you don’t meet every single point but are ready for the challenge, we still encourage you to apply!
Requirements
- You stay informed about what’s happening in the (media) world and are passionate about the startup scene and future topics
- Your instinct for current trends and topics keeps you ahead of the curve and helps you spot stories before they break
- You have the ability to captivate audiences with your stories
- You know how to build a story brand, clearly convey the Founders Foundation’s vision, and continually repackage our mission
- You bring hands-on experience from media companies or communications agencies and/or hold a degree (e.g., in Communications or German Studies) or a solid journalistic education
- You inspire our target audience and us with your writing style: you grasp complex issues and present them to readers in an inspiring and professional way
- With your open and personable manner you maintain existing contacts with media representatives and journalists and continuously expand them
