About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the operational planning and delivery of Founders Forum events, including large-scale conferences, gala dinners, event experiences and new ecosystem events, under the direction of the Senior Event Operations Manager
  • Use Asana project boards to track tasks and timelines and align internal and external stakeholders
  • Support budget management, cost tracking and reconciliations for assigned events
  • Source, negotiate and manage venue and supplier relationships and contracts
  • Coordinate production, catering, event flow and layout, staffing, accommodation and travel logistics
  • Lead on-site operations, proactively manage issues and troubleshoot in real time
  • Produce running orders, production schedules, staff briefs and contingency plans
  • Develop scalable processes, templates and best practices across the events programme
  • Enhance guest experience and identify opportunities to improve production, flow and impact
  • Identify in-kind partnership opportunities to elevate events and reduce costs
  • Support post-event wrap-ups and evaluations and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with Content, Marketing, Community, Partnerships and the wider events team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant proven experience as an Event Manager
  • Extensive experience managing suppliers, vendors and contracts
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using project management tools such as Asana and standard office software including Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of the UK tech ecosystem is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours around event dates, including some evenings and weekends
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Meticulous planning, end-to-end event operations and logistics coordination, and budget tracking experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards and attention to detail
  • Vendor and supplier sourcing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs, partners, sponsors, corporates, agencies and suppliers
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude
  • Creative, resilient, self-driven and collaborative approach
  • Passion for events and creating memorable experiences
