About the role

  • As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with major clients who aim to develop nature based solutions.
  • This role combines business development, strategic upselling, and technical advisory to ensure successful project delivery and growth of our climate action.
  • Oversee the overall management of assigned project teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and achievement of agreed outcomes.
  • Track and evaluate project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, while resolving emerging challenges and ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Initiate and coordinate commercial proposals, manage contract design, and contribute to the overall growth of our advisory mandates.
  • Offer technical input and guidance for large and complex mandates, ensuring scientific and methodological rigor.
  • Support the continuous improvement of methodologies, tools, and internal processes related to Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).
  • Represent FORLIANCE in client meetings, workshops, and relevant industry events.
  • Collaborate closely with Team Leads and Sales Managers to identify new business opportunities, drive upselling initiatives, and support the growth of the NBS Advisory portfolio.

Requirements

  • You bring significant experience (7+ years) in the Nature-Based Solutions sector, particularly in forest carbon projects in the Global South, land use advisory (agriculture, forestry), Food & Beverage, or related sectors.
  • You have commercial acumen, with prior experience in preparing proposals, participating in pitch meetings, and supporting business development efforts.
  • You possess excellent organizational and coordination abilities, and you communicate confidently and clearly with clients and team members alike.
  • You have proven experience managing forest carbon projects throughout their full lifecycle - from design and validation to verification and issuance - ideally within Verra and Gold Standard frameworks.
  • You are skilled in project management, with practical experience using relevant tools and software to ensure structure, clarity, and timely delivery.
  • You are fluent command and writing in English (required), and Spanish proficiency would be a strong asset.
