About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design reports to allow users to be confident in their findings and to make business decisions based on data driven insights
- Design reporting solutions for business projects and initiatives
- Identify and fix bugs within existing reports and communicate the impact to results
- Work alongside the Data Engineering team to identify bugs and provide requirements for views and tables in the data warehouse
- Be the go-to team member for support and guidance on SQL and Power BI
- Support the Principal BI Developer & Data Enablement Manager in planning and prioritising the work to be completed each sprint
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent SQL skills
- Excellent Power BI skills including Power Query and DAX
- Great analytical skills in analysing new data sets and understanding their value
- Good experience with Git
- Experience with large datasets and tabular models
- Great understanding of analysis cube models and incremental refresh policies
- Good experience with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio and ALM Toolkit
- A love for problem solving
- Confidence in bringing new ideas to the team
- Ability to support more junior team members with technical training, show and tell sessions and peer programming
- Good knowledge of data governance, data protection, and GDPR
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment alongside evolving the data tech stack and practices
