About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You work as part of a two-person team (you + 1 other technician) and lead the complete installation of fall protection systems: from interpreting plans to delivering the site without reservation, strictly adhering to our safety standards and scheduled deadlines.
- Participate in joint inspection visits / PPSPS (Worksite Health & Safety Protection and Coordination Plan) and other pre-site meetings.
- Prepare the site: equipment, PPE, and secure the work area.
- Install fall protection systems (lifelines, guardrails, ladders, etc.).
- Manage your team, monitor progress, and ensure quality.
- Inspect and test (pull tests, test reports/PV, as-built documentation/DOE).
- Report daily via Alobees and by phone contact with the site manager.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 2 years' experience working at height / on roofs / as a roofer.
- Valid Working at Height certification.
- Plan-reading skills and a strong safety mindset.
- Leadership, clear communication, and time-management skills.
- Coordination skills (internal and external).
- Manufacturer-specific fall protection training is a plus.
- CACES for aerial work platforms and forklifts; SST (first aid) certification.
- Field management experience (1–3 people).
- Comfortable with computers.
- Familiarity with site apps (Alobees or equivalent).
