About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute the global operations strategy aligned with corporate objectives
- Lead worldwide operational, technical and commercial performance, driving profitability, utilisation and client satisfaction
- Own global operational performance, resource planning, operational KPIs and service delivery excellence
- Lead business development with key strategic clients and support major bids
- Provide technical governance and approve methodologies, reports and technical standards
- Drive operational excellence, digitalisation, continuous improvement and quality management
- Develop succession plans and build a high-performing global leadership team
- Ensure compliance with international regulations, HSEQ requirements and company governance
- Manage enterprise operational risks and crisis response
- Represent FMC with clients, classification societies, industry bodies and regulators.
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent
- Master Mariner and/or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency strongly preferred
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in maritime operations, surveying, technical management or consultancy
- Demonstrated executive leadership of global, multicultural teams
- Strong commercial, operational and stakeholder management capability.
