About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the most senior technical authority for BMS, EPMS, PLC, and equipment-level controls across the fleet
  • Own every material BMS change across the fleet and serve as final technical approver for high-consequence changes
  • Standardize controls practices and enforce change control
  • Lead technical and operational site audits covering sequences, alarming, trending, integration health, and cybersecurity
  • Own the remediation roadmap through closure
  • Sign off on controls operational readiness and handover from commissioning to steady-state operations for every new site
  • Feed operational learnings back into design and manufacturing for repeatable, productized builds
  • Stand up a full BMS in two days
  • Author and approve high-risk MOPs, EOPs, and AOPs
  • Lead root cause analysis on significant controls events through closure
  • Travel 50 to 75% across the fleet and perform field-based work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Career experience programming, commissioning, and operating controls on complex central plants and critical environments
  • Ability to walk into any site and own the front-end within a day
  • Platform-agnostic command of modern BMS/BAS, including Ignition, Niagara, Metasys, or EcoStruxure
  • PLC programming experience on at least one major platform
  • Fluency in BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, and other major controls protocols
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety systems coordinated by controls protocols
  • Experience authoring and executing high-risk controls MOPs in live critical environments
  • Experience leading root cause analysis on significant events through closure
  • Ability to hold integrators, OEMs, and vendors to programming and documentation standards
  • Hyperscale or large colocation experience at hundreds of MW+ is a bonus
  • EPMS platforms and DCIM experience is a bonus
  • Historians and scripting in Python or SQL are a bonus
  • OT network segmentation and cybersecurity experience is a bonus
  • Authorization to work in the United States
