Key responsibilities & impact- Seeking a Commissioning Manager, Mechanical Data Centers with experience leading chilled water, HVAC, and overall mechanical commissioning efforts for high-performance Data Centers.
- This role requires a deep understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning across all commissioning phases (Level 1–5) for mechanical systems.
- Role will require stakeholder coordination while acting as the Owner’s Commissioning Mechanical lead for general contractors, designers, and vendors across multiple projects/sites.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge & experience with ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guidelines preferred.
- Knowledge & experience with applicable mechanical testing, balancing, flushing, pressure testing, and startup procedures for mission critical infrastructure.
- Be knowledgeable with commissioning of equipment listed below and not limited to:
- Chillers, Cooling Towers, Dry Coolers, Pumps, CRAH Units, CRAC Units, Air Handling Units (AHU), Make-Up Air Units (MAU), Computer Room Ventilation Systems, Heat Exchangers, Expansion Tanks, Pressurization Units, Water Treatment Systems, Piping Distribution Systems, Control Valves, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Building Management System (BMS), HVAC Control Systems, Leak Detection Systems, Fuel Oil Transfer Systems related to mechanical plant operation, and associated mechanical control sequences.
- The ideal candidate shall possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and operation of mechanical systems and related controls.
- Testing & Validation: Conducting pre-site testing and on-site functional testing, flushing and pressure testing verification, sequence of operations validation, and mechanical performance checks.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues during startup and providing ongoing system support.
- Knowledge & experience with InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) test specifications.
- Be knowledgeable with Commissioning of equipment listed below and not limited to:
- Generator, Generator Paralleling Switchgear, High / Medium / Low Voltage Transformer (XFMR), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS Systems), Battery Systems, High / Medium / Low Voltage Switchgear (SWGR), Low Voltage Main Switchboards (MSB), PLC Control, Automatic and Semi-Automatic Switching Controls, Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS), Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), Static Transfer Switch (STS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Busways, Remote Power Panel (RPP),Grounding Systems, Lighting Control Systems
- Will be expected to assess and test at a high technical level. This role requires the candidate to have technical competency, organizational skills, good communication skills.
