Key responsibilities & impact- Own the steel category: structural steel and fabricated assemblies feeding the modular manufacturing line and site builds.
- Source fabrication capacity across regional shops so throughput scales with the build plan, not with one shop's backlog.
- Negotiate raw material and fabrication pricing with mechanisms that survive commodity swings.
- Qualify fabricators on quality and capacity, and manage the load balancing across them weekly.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You've sourced structural steel or fabricated steel assemblies at industrial volume.

- You've qualified fabrication shops and caught the capacity overstatements in their pitch.
- You manage commodity exposure with indexing or hedging rather than hoping.
- Bonus: AISC-certified fabrication networks. Modular construction. Weld quality programs. Logistics for oversize loads.
