About the role

Collaborate with design staff and oversee full cycle ICT design activities for mission critical data center projects.
Interact with organizational leadership to develop and edit project specifications and lead design development efforts.
Lead project teams and manage projects of complex scope; coordinate activities of other personnel.
Independently perform advanced engineering work, ICT design tasks, and computation analysis for complex projects.
Develop scalable fiber optic and copper plant design; determine physical layer route and utilization.
Provide site support and remediation work; perform QAQC peer reviews where not the lead.
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to prepare drawings and visual aids; prepare project design, specification and construction documents.
Review and/or prepare book or sheet specifications, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, project closeout documents, and change order requests.
Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports; collect data for construction documents.
Manage project design team including resource forecasting and coordination; identify and mitigate scope changes to control cost and schedule impact.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Possess Strong Engineering Judgement and ability to provide recommendations despite uncertainty/ambiguity.
Experience solving problems with engineered solutions.
Experience managing engineering projects and consultants.
Ability to build trust and relationships with stakeholders (Operations, Controls, Construction, Design, Commissioning, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers).
Adaptable and inclined to perform field work; comfortable with a mix of office and field work.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
Organized with ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and budget (nice to have).
Direct experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities/data centers (nice to have).
Experience as resident engineer or hands-on design consultant or owner’s engineer and knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region (nice to have).
Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents (nice to have).
Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment/design related to data centers and EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls systems (nice to have).
