About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Flipper One using Python-based testing frameworks
- Validate firmware and software functionality on real hardware, identifying defects and ensuring reliable product behavior
- Create and improve test scenarios and test documentation to increase coverage and support the development process
- Investigate Linux system behavior, collect logs, analyze failures, and help engineers reproduce and resolve issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep practical experience with Linux: shell, systemd/services, logs, permissions, networking, processes, cron, SSH, package managers
- Ability to write Bash scripts and use standard Linux tools: grep, awk, sed, curl, journalctl, netstat/ss, top/htop, ps, lsof, tcpdump or similar
- Understanding of networking stack at TCP/IP level: Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP, routing, sockets, ports, DNS, DHCP, ARP, MTU, packet loss, retransmissions, latency, timeouts, and connection states
- Ability to work from our London office, especially during the initial stage of the project
