💰 $120,000 - $150,000 per year
About the role
- Oversee day-to-day accounting (GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash management)
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting standards
- Assist with Form 990, audits, and regulatory filings
- Monitor grant compliance and restricted vs. unrestricted funds
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare financial statements and present insights to clients/leadership
- Manage accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Real Page)
- Identify process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
- Supervise and mentor staff (as applicable)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5–10+ years of accounting experience, including nonprofit
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting and grant management
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with nonprofit boards and finance committees (preferred)
- Federal/state grant compliance experience (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills (preferred)
